Lovely, delicate Candy Heart might just be made or real sugar! This tiny-boned stray Border Collie has a serious sweet side once she gets past her initial uncertainty. She appears to bond quickly, is very affectionate, enjoys close contact, and likes taking treats and chasing toys. Perhaps due to a lack of early socialization combined with a sensitive, cautious nature, she is not particularly outgoing or gregarious at first, but that's just fine, if you're willing to take it slow with her, make her introductions to the big world slowly and positively, and don't ask too much right away. Sudden noises, new people and new situations are both interesting and potentially scary to Candy Heart, but she's quick to look to you for reassurance and guidance. She seems to really like other dogs, so a confident canine role model might help her, too. One of her more endearing features is a curly cowlick that extends from her head to her tail, almost giving her the look of a soft, ruffly, black stegosaurus! - By volunteer Ariel
